Learn activities
FirstClass has many ways of accessing information contained in Conferences and in your Mailbox.
Navigate a conference
Messages with the same subject, that were sent in reply to other messages, are presented in a special way. As replies to messages accumulate, they create a thread.
Open the Activity One message in the Tutorial Conference and choose Collaborate > Navigation > Next in Thread to read the three messages in the thread.
Even if you don't use the FirstClass Explore view by default you can view any container with View > Explore. You may find FirstClass Explore view works when reviewing a conference that includes a number of messages and multiple subcontainers. Occasionally, you may want to view the Employee Lounge with the FirstClass Explore view.
Find information
You can find messages based on the sender's name or message content, for example.
Search for the word "attach" by enabling the Search content checkbox. Click Find to begin your search.
You can also find the first instance of a person's name or subject within any window. Open the Tutorial Conference and type Download or Susan.
You can select all similar items in your Mailbox, in any folder, or in any conference by choosing Select Similar Items from the shortcut menu.
For example, with one mouse click you can select:
- all messages from one person
- all messages in a thread
1 Click on Susan's name.
2 Open the shortcut menu by right-clicking (Windows) or Control-clicking (Mac OS).
3 Choose Select Similar Items.
Once the messages are highlighted you can:
• print the messages
• view all the messages in one window by choosing Message > Summarize
In your Mailbox you'd also be able to:
• delete the selected messages
• drag the selected messages to a folder
